Billups Believes Carmelo Will Stay

Nuggets point guard Chauncey Billups believes Carmelo Anthony will remain with the team.

"He better, or he's going to have a problem on his hands when he sees me," Billups said when asked if he thought Anthony would take Denver's offer of an extension.

Sources close to Anthony have said that he expects to accept the team's offer of a three-year, $65 million extension.

"I'm hoping he does. I know Melo loves Denver, it's pretty much home and I think that he will (sign the extension)," Billups said. "But I've seen stranger things. ... All I can do is be hopeful."

Nuggets Want To Re-Sign Joey Graham

The Nuggets are looking to re-sign forward Joey Graham, according to Chris Tomasson of FanHouse.

However, it might take more than the veteran's minimum for Denver to retain Graham.

The Jazz, Heat and Bulls are also looking at Graham.

Billups Will Likely See Scoring Decrease With Harrington

Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post writes that Nuggets point guard Chauncey Billups will likely see his scoring average decrease this season.

The Nuggets have added forward Al Harrington, who will eat into the scoring averages of other players.

Billups averaged a career-high 19.5 points per game last season, largely because he had to.
